lyrics

Wudaokou (五到口)
Roger guitars, Louis piano, Adam drums

I can hear the trains on their way to who knows where
there's a murky moon in the sky, lurking about up there
I can't see any stars though there's barely a cloud
as I made my way along, beyond here and now

watching lovers dancing, gracefully into the night
It’s a wonderful world we live in, some things seem so right
I crossed over the tracks in the heart of Wudaokou
As the trains rolled on by, beyond here and now

In the cities of so many, anyone could be anyone
Gone in the blink of an eye, in the flicker of neon

Sometimes I think we've come about as we can go
Just when you think you know enough, they say there’s stuff y'should know
Maybe someday they’ll work it out, but I really don’t see how
When I’ll be long gone beyond here and now

Felt like crying for something. Or was it someone or somewhere?
Packed into a train ‘gainst a woman with red-black hair
I felt like saying something, but I couldn’t find the words and anyhow
She’ll be someone’s lucky sweet heart beyond here and now

In the cities of so many, anyone could be anyone
Gone in the blink of an eye, in the flicker of neon
