A man stood gazing at the sea
For what seemed an eternity

Where the dunes had collapsed
Seemed like a lifetime had elapsed
And in the debris of the last night’s cyclone
I realised he was not alone

In the naked calmness of it’s glow

There was a woman with wild red hair
It’s a wonder I hadn’t noticed her there
Maybe she stepped out of the raging surf
They were the last two people left alive on earth
